Media Wars: Standard Group Sends Citizen TV Cease and Desist Letter… Diamond Platnumz at the Centre

Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz was all set to be interviewed on Citizen TV’s Friday night’s answer to The Trend, 10 over 10.

He was in the country for a show in Meru, and organizers were eager to give him as much publicity as possible.

However, that turned out to be in breach of a contract they had signed with Standard Media Group, the official media partners of the concert.

When word of the planned interview went round, Standard Group lawyers sent a cease and desist letter branded ‘Very Urgent’ to the organizer and copied to Royal Media Services. They warned the organizers of dire consequences should Diamond go ahead and appear on Citizen TV.

Here’s the letter.
