Here's Why a Special Bull Will be Killed at Ole Ntimama Burial

It has now emerged that a special bull will be killed during the burial of former Cabinet Minister William ole Ntimama as per the Maasai culture.

Speaking at the late politician's home in Motonyi near Narok town, burial committee chairman Hassan ole Kamwaro disclosed that the bull should be 'sacred', of uniform hue and given by the family.

"Culturally, when a person of Ntimama's stature dies, a big bull is identified among the herd. As at now, we are in the process of getting one and in case there is none found in his herd, his oldest son will have to get one," said Mr Kamwaro.

The slaughtered bull will be specifically for Ntimama's age mates and elders who will bless his body before he is eventually buried.

Ntimama passed away on Thursday night at his home in Narok County and according to the family, he died of natural causes.

The late veteran politician will be laid to rest on September 14 and Kamwaro confirmed that his burial arrangements were going on smoothly.
