Tanzania: Simba's 'Hitmen Squad' Out Today

                                                                                      Tanzania's Simba SC players
SIMBA are set to commence their pre-season drill early this week after the arrival of their new tactician Joseph Omog from Cameroon special for the 2016/17 league season. Simba, renowned for picking best talents, focus on recruiting the dream squad ahead of the new season kick-off in September this year.
Last Friday, Simba officially signed the experienced Cameroonian tactician Omog as their new club Head Coach taking over from the British tactician Dylan Kerr, who was fired in the mid of last the season by following unsatisfactory performance of the team.
But the club training which is expected today would reveal who are joining Msimbazi Street side this season, according to the report circulating in the city.
However, the club Information Official, Haji Manara, told the 'Daily News' yesterday in Dar es Salaam that the team will kick off pre-season preparation tomorrow as today, July 4, coach Omog will meet with the club leadership for some discussions before officially taking the team to start a preseason training in readiness for the new season.
The experienced Cameroonian tactician has penned down a two-year contract which will see him with the club until 2018 and his assistant is expected to be Ugandan Jackson Mayanja, who was in-charge of the team after Kerr parted ways with the club.
The pre-season training will be the opportunity for the club supporters to see new players their club has already recruited for the coming season and also the technical bench under Omog will also use the occasion to pick some the best players.
Already Simba have signed several players for the coming season prior to announcing the arrival of Omog as the head coach. The Cameroonian tactician will now have the opportunity to assess his squad before going into the league.
"He will have enough time to make some new recruitment whenever he discovers weakness," said the official. Some of the club's newly recruited players include Mzamiru Yassin, Mohamed Ibrahim, Jamal Mnyate, Shiza Kichuya, Hassan Kabunda,Musa Ndusha, Mbaraka Yusuph.
Foreign players who are reported in process to sign with the Msimbazi street club are Burundian star Laudit Mavugo and Ivorian Star Blagnon Frederic whom the club has picked to strengthen their squad and boost its ambition to regain its lost glory.
The Burundian and Ivorian strikers are expected to jet in Dar es Salaam any day this week to finalize their transfer deal. According to reports from the club, all the players including the newly signed ones and those who were with the squad in the previous season are required to report for the training as per Coach Omog's order.
Simba is the second club in the country top flight league to hire the services of the Cameroonian tactician Omog who had recorded success with Congo-Brazzaville side, AC Leopard as he previously served Azam but parted ways with the club after he failed to meet his club's set targets.
