Female NTV Journalist Beaten During Politicians Meeting

A dramatic scene erupted at the Nyeri County Assembly on Tuesday when a session to discuss the impeachment of Governor Nderitu Gachagua turned violent.

Members of County Assembly (MCAs) descended on each other with kicks and blows after two opposing factions clashed over the removal of Mr Gachagua.

The afternoon theatrics saw several journalists covering the proceedings at the Assembly injured.

According to a report by the Daily Nation, one of their female reporters identified as Grace Gitauwas among those attacked. It is said that a camera was grabbed from her by an angry MCA, twisting her arm in the process.
