PRESIDENT John Magufuli has appointed Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Haroun Ramadhan Kondo the Chairperson of the Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) Board of Directors.
A press statement in Dar es Salaam yesterday, quoted Chief Secretary (CS), Amb. John Kijazi, as saying the appointment is effective September 5, 2016.
Colonel Kondo takes over from Dr Yamungu Kayandabila whose tenure at the public corporation’s helm has expired.
Dr Magufuli has at the same time appointed Dr Hedwiga Francis Swai chairman of the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS) effective September 5, 2016.
Dr Swai is also the Director of Medical Services at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH). In the new appointments, Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) has Ambassador Ladislaus Columban Komba as its new Board Chairman, effective September 5, 2016, the statement said.
Ambassador Komba succeeds Ambassador Christopher Celestine Liundi who has completed his term.
The president has as well appointed Mr Fidelis Mutakyamilwa to chair National Land Use Commission’s Board of Directors, effective August 29, 2016. Mr Mutakyamilwa is the Company Secretary with the Local Authority Provident Fund (LAPF).
