A Kenyan military plane on Wednesday morning caused a delay at the Moi International Airport in Mombasa after it veered off the runway.
Kenya Airways released a statement noting: “Moi International Airport Runway temporarily closed due to a runway excursion. Delays expected to be incurred on the Mombasa-Nairobi route".
Flights at the airport were directed to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi after the Kenya Defence Force (KDF) plane tyre burst during take off.
According to reports, there were no casualties during the morning mishap.
Hours later, operations at the airport went back to normalcy.
