Revealed: What Killed popular NTV actress

On Friday 5 November actress Maende Shikuku passed on at undisclosed hospital where she was rushed to after falling ill.

It has now been revealed that the late actress was suffering from severe ulcers that might have led to death.

For those who didn’t know Maende Shikuku, she was a renowned actress who played the role of Petronila, a pastor’s wife in TV series Pray and Prey. She is the daughter of famous politician who died in 2012 while undergoing cancer treatment at the Texas Cancer Centre in Nairobi's Hurlingham.

Her death came as a shock to many of her fans and colleagues who knew nothing about her illness. Most of her workers wrote to say that she was a lively person and one who loved to bond with people. She has left behind a family and friends who are still coming into terms with her sudden departure.
